Keeneland Race Track

Project Description

Keeneland Race Track’s newly constructed Paddock Building blends tradition with a heightened guest experience. Thoughtfully designed to honor the history of the track while offering new vantage points on race day, the space brings fans closer to the action. The hospitality spaces were styled by Lexington-based interior designer Matthew Carter to showcase a traditional, luxury aesthetic featuring rich wood paneling, elegant chandeliers, leather seating, and custom stone bars.

The bar at the Keeneland Chalet features Vermont Verde Serpentine, where bold natural beauty meets exceptional durability. With its deep green tones and striking white veining, each slab is one of a kind. Fabricated by Kentucky Solid Surface, Inc., the Verde bar is one fine example of how Carter made use of the iconic “Keeneland Green” color as a design thread throughout the building. Rather than opt for an obvious paint or finish in Keeneland Green, he chose unique moments for the color to appear in each distinctly-themed room.

From the quarry to this incredible project, we’re proud to see Vermont Verde Antique become part of a space built to be enjoyed for generations.
